How to remove gaps in MT4 historical data

If you noticed gaps in the historical data for an MT4 instrument, select the relevant chart, bring up the context menu (right-click on the chart) and click on "Refresh." It is worth checking that the gaps have actually been filled in the History Center (Tools -> History Center or F2).

The Download button does not seem to fill the gaps in the data as one would expect.
