•      Provide day to day maintenance and support of the hardware and software that runs in UNIX Environment.
• Design and Engineer solutions for low-latency Linux Environment including kernel settings, network card selection, configuration management and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot systems issues and resolve those issues in a timely manner.
• Develop automated processes for the team to maintain the Linux and Solaris Environment.  
• Mentor teammates by leading by example, demonstrating strong work ethic and spend time to teach others.
•      Professional and Technical Skills
Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 5.X and 6.X.
Virtualization technology such as VMWare and RHEV.
Infrastructure Services including DNS, LDAP, SMTP, SNMP and NTP.
Advanced scripting in Shell, Perl, Expect, etc.
Administer configuration management tools like Opsware, CFEngine and Puppet.
Qualifications & Experience
• 8+ years in UNIX systems engineering or administration in a large-scale enterprise environment
• 6+ years engineering solutions on Red Hat Linux systems or other equivalent Linux OS
• Experience in the Financial Services sector is required
