Experienced hands on developer to join a multi-billion dollar hedge fund in New York. They are now looking to expand their team.
Role: Manage relationships and deliver solutions to various business units including Middle Office, Operations, Product Control, Accounting and others. Collaborate with our top-notch internal software development team, developing in-house solutions and integrating vendor products to deliver rich, enterprise software solutions.
*      Trade Confirmation and Settlement
*      Securities Lending
*      P&L and Portfolio Accounting
*      Cash and Position Reconciliation
*      Corporate Action Processing
*      Financing and Cost of Carry Calculation
*      Foreign Exchange Exposure Monitoring and Hedging
Requirements:
*      A computer Science or equivalent degree, preferably from a top university
*      3 * 10 years of software development experience
*      Experience working in the financial industry required, preferably at a hedge fund, asset manager or related firm
*      Deep understanding of core Java, application server development, and Java open Source toolkits
*      Experience using SWT and/or GWT toolkits preferred
*      Strong SQL abilities required, PL/SQL preferred
*      Experience with SunGard VPM or Advent Geneva is a big plus
*      Experience building position / cash / trade reconciliations is a plus
*      Strong written and verbal communication abilities, inter-personal skills, analytical proficiency, and a high level of professionalism
