Our client, an established financial services company seeks a Senior .NET Developer to work in Boston, MA.   This position would be a long term (1 year+) contract or a contract to permanent opportunity.

Our client is developing state-of-the-art domestic and international algorithmic trading servers, crossing engines, and trading cost analytic products.  You will be working directly with traders, clients, salespeople, and product specialists and wear both “business” and “technology” hats.


Qualifications:

At least three years of experience developing windows applications using the .NET framework and C#.  (C# 2.0 or better)
Comfortable with multi-threaded and asynchronous techniques in .NET.
SQL Server 2005 or better is a must
Algorithmic background is highly preferred
FIX protocol is preferred
Experience using the C# lock statement, the .NET ThreadPool, generic collections, Windows Communication Foundation and MSMQ messaging is very important.
Recent experience building windows forms, console and service applications are preferred.
You should be comfortable using version control and code merging tools.
Any experience developing and supporting back-end components for high frequency trading applications using C# would give you a distinct advantage.
You must be willing and able to quickly come up to speed and help maintain a large, existing code base.
The ability to work with others to quickly and efficiently integrate code is a must.
Though not required, a familiarity with third party tools for .NET for data grids and charting would be helpful.
