Our client is currently looking for a Database Architect to help manage their SQL database infrastructure. This includes managing the design, development, implementation and support of database management structures as well as back-up, recovery, archive and migration global strategies. The position evaluates new information systems products or services and suggests changes to existing products or services to better aid the end users. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop databases, including working with business owners to translate core business needs into robust DBMS
• Must be able to understand existing and future database technologies, including hardware implementation i.e. physical, virtual and cloud, practices for core business requirements related to RDBMS
Looking for:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any related field
• 8+ years of hands on experience with SQL Server: TSQL programming, preferably in multi tenant architecture
• Proficient in SQL 2005, 2008 including SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, HA database infrastructure and Windows environments
• Experience supporting global applications in 24 x 7 x 365 environment
