Trom my point of view, there is there is 3 type of use of algorithm for trading.

1) Algorithmic trading such as VWAP, TVOL... more precisely see here :
http://www.advancedtrading.com/directories/algorithmictrading/

2) Brokerage algorithm, for matching order.

3) System trading, and automated trading algos

These people will be at the GAIM Fund of Funds investment in GENEVA. They offer pre-configured algo-strategies with the soft, so one can build a Quant Fund with no experience !

I don't get the idea. So, every client will trade the same strategy?
If clients of their clients are unaware than it's Ok, I guess. ;D

Indeed Yuri.  And if that old maxim "active traders can't beat index funds" can be updated for this decade, perhaps clients running out of the box might even have a source of alpha.    8-)

Robo simply has to offer CEP and that allows for strategy changes without towing around a development team that may have trouble keeping pace with market changes several sigmas out.

Phil Jacobson has done work in that area, you might chat with him.  There are several CEP products out there now.  And all I can emphasize is the importance of performance testing as a CEP engine will always have trouble keeping up with optimized code from a competitive scrum.
