After an equity market correction which shares perform best in terms of short to medium term recovery?

Sticking with listed shares within the same index, e.g., S&P 500 or FTSE 100, does anyone know if in general lower priced shares recover a greater %'age than higher priced shares over the same time period?

I will probably find this out eventually by laborious research but is it general knowledge to anyone already and do you know he tickers/correction dates?
